Some New Gun Laws of 2019

CBS News. January 2nd, 2019

A wave of gun control activism surged across the U.S. in 2018 -- and yet it led to little action from the federal government. So as 2019 arrives, it's state governments that are taking aim at the problem with new gun laws.

The new year has brought new restrictions and regulations in several states, with some going into effect on New Year's Day and others scheduled to take force midway through 2019. Many of the laws enact versions of policies that were in the 100-plus gun control proposals that have failed in Congress over the past few years.

(Laws referred to in full article - California, Illinois, Oregon, WA State and bump-stock ban.) .......

Just some examples but all before we wait for the House to try new 'gun control' tricks at the federal level - aimed as usual at infringing on Second Amendment rights. For the most part the attempts will be such that the proponents can claim that they "don't want to take away your guns" - instead they seek to strangle rights such that gun ownership gets progressively more eroded bit by bit. The Illinois law is among the most egregious, already implemented in some other states - the "Red Flag" Law... probably the most dangerous new law yet to be devised, where scope for abuse is massive and all with lack of due process.
