17 Facts

Many people in the gun community feel like there has been a recent attack on the Second Amendment.

Most notably, after the Parkland shooting, the mainstream media did not waste any time promoting David Hogg to push their anti-gun narrative.

The problem with their narrative is that they are wrong.

Guns are not the problem, in fact, it's quite the opposite.

This infographic highlights “17 Facts That 'Gun Control' Advocates Hate”.

All the facts and statistics are backed by legitimate sources such as the FBI and ResearchGate.

The founding fathers specifically wrote in the constitution that “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”.

The founding fathers were not ignorant of the potential for governments to become tyrannical, meaning that they made it crystal clear in the constitution. Nevertheless, there are still people arguing that the 2nd Amendment has no place in modern America.

The gun debate is a losing battle for gun control advocates. Most Americans support the second amendment, which is why it's important to spread the facts about guns, to push back against the false narrative that is constantly perpetuated e.g. guns, not people, are the problem.

Even recently, politicians such as the Governor of Texas are proposing talks about gun control with regards to school safety. These sorts of talks are completely misguided when you consider that 97.3% of mass shootings occur in “gun-free” zones.

Considering that most gun-related homicides in the USA are gang-related, it would make more sense to focus on the increasing rate of single mothers, since most criminals come from single-mother households. However, policies that would reduce single-mother households are contrary to the policies that 'gun control' advocates typically promote.

The USA has a skepticism of government which is unique compared to other countries. This is one of the main reasons why so many people support the 2nd Amendment. It wasn't too long ago that the founding fathers liberated themselves from the British Empire with the use of guns. But tyrannical governments are not the only reason to support gun rights; many people value guns to protect oneself from every day threats. Guns are the great equalizer that allows many women to defend themselves against attackers.
