On May 11, 2005 -- the day after "The End of America" -- the U.S. House of Representatives passed bill HR 1279 by a margin of 279 - 144. Called "The Gang Deterrence and Community Protection Act of 2005," this bill could have serious repercussions for gun owners who use a firearm in self-defense.
