Governments have long used technology to improve the odds of winning
a war with the fewest casualties. But given the recent trend of
militarizing the police, these articles point to a much more ominous
goal.
The military is already regularly giving police departments equipment
like armored personnel carriers, machine guns, night optics and
more, even in small rural towns. With the new laws that are being
passed daily, times are even more dangerous to the Bill of Rights.
Like children with a new toy, police will use this new equipment
as a justification for enforcing existing laws, no matter how petty
or unconstitutional those laws are. And just _imagine_
robots issued to the BATFE! They're already attempting to be issued
airplanes for reconnaissance, so deadly robots would hardly be rejected
by this group of thugs.
Prior to 1968, civilians might have been able to defend themselves
from this space-age tyranny. The anti-tank gun featured in our movie
_The Gang_ (www.thegangmovie.com)
was perfectly legal until then -- and had an eight-mile range. But
thanks to the Nazi-based "sporting purposes" clause of
the 1968 Gun Control Act, US civilians today have no way to defend
themselves.
Do you think that was an accident?
Everyone knows a control freak who lusts for this type of technology.
A city councilman, a mayor, a governor, a congressman ... or a presidential
candidate. NOW is the time to make your voice heard about this dangerous
trend. Not "later", when the powermongers are already
safely entrenched.
Wake up your friends, your neighbors and your coworkers. When the
masses are awakened, we can mobilize. And take our country back.
