Another example of a proposal that seeks to potentially criminalize the good guys, when it has been well proven that background checks do not guarantee that evil-doers do not obtain firearms. A right, is a right, is a right -- "shall not be infringed".
Recently, Oregon lawmakers discussed a gun control proposal that outlaws all private gun sales except those between "close relatives," and that makes sales between "close relatives" a privilege that exists only as long as the government allows it to continue.
The gun control bill is sponsored by state senator Floyd Prozanski (Democrat-Eugene).
According to the Statesman Journal, it requires a private buyer and seller to find a licensed gun dealer, pay a fee, and "run a background check through the Oregon State Police."........ -->
