CA: Keeping AR- style rifles through creativity

California lawmakers hate so-called assault weapons. There's just something about an evil black rifle that gets them riled up. It's so bad that they have tried everything to essentially ban the weapons. Following the failed federal assault weapons ban, they have opted to focus on features that they believe define assault weapons.

Apparently, none of these people has heard of the Law of Unintended Consequences.

You see, in their zeal to eradicate AR-15 features their state, law-abiding Californians who want the rifles are finding creative ways to get around the law.

Try as they might, lawmakers attempts to try and neuter the AR platform rifles are being challenged by further innovations to circumvent new restrictions. The sad fact is, that the people affected by these ridiculous new laws (2A infringement) are good law abiding folks - the criminals of course as ever continue being essentially unaffected as law-breaking is their usual disdainful approach. It will ever be thus.
