Tell Me Again How Our
Gun Laws Stop Crime

Rob Morse. September 28th, 2017

This happened a few miles from my house. An armed robber broke into a home. He shot two children as he fled. One child died, and the other child, a teenager, may never walk again.

Their attacker was identified and arrested. His prior convictions include armed robbery, felon in possession of a firearm, aggravated battery, drug possession, criminal damage to property, resisting an officer, purse snatching and possession of a stolen car.

Here we have a repeat criminal who got a gun and committed a horrible crime against innocent children. Gun prohibition clearly didn't work to disarm him. Our gun regulations disarmed millions of innocent citizens, but criminals continue to get guns.

Did our gun laws ever disarm any criminal anywhere? We don't know, but perhaps the regulations might have disarmed a few criminals. We know as a fact that these regulations disarmed millions of victims. That made it easier for the criminal, not harder.

Prohibition costs lives.

Just another case where the criminal has the advantage and, with no armed protection by the home owner - we have a tragic result. It's never easy to second guess all the fine details of an attack such as this but, suffice to say, there is every possibility that an armed home owner could well have mitigated the event. All law enforcement could do was turn up after the shooting.
