There"s only one reason both political parties, pundits and some groups are suddenly calling for infringing on gun accessories…because a homicidal maniac senselessly murdered scores of people using one recently. Using the acts of a psychotic spree killer, with media incitement of the masses to propose law, is simply wrong. By this "logic," officials and their allies could justify banning every firearm in public hands.
Proposed bans and regulations on slide stocks are no different than any other gun-control proposals to limit freedoms you currently possess, and the reasons here are worse. In the false name of safety, hoplophobes, political elitists and demagogues seek to subarm you, while leaving insanely armed psychopaths ignored.
Hollywood and TV continues to pump outrageous mass-slaughter gun fantasy into our lives, insisting it has no effect, reaping billions, while body counts grow. JPFO insists that attention get paid to mass media's rampant contribution to social decay in America, leading to increasingly frequent aberrant behavior, which media fails to recognize…or denies.
The Bonnie-and-Clyde glory consciously heaped on abject villains is a factor, face it.
If democrats or republicans enact any new infringement, easily spotted because it further restricts something you are currently free to do or own, they should be brought up on charges. Infringement is forbidden under oath, not something officials are empowered to do. That has a name. Usurping power is a serious offense.
