A Well Regulated Militia
"The first Ten Amendments to the US Constitution, known as the Bill of Rights, were based upon Virginia's Declaration of Rights, drafted by George Mason. Ratified on December 15, 1791, the Second Amendment reads, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.""
Thus begins an article written early this year, which takes a look at just how the left has taken on a full scale attack on the Second Amendment. Of course, the Sandy Hook shooting in December 2012 was with little doubt the perfect catalyst to help make a particularly aggressive launch on our rights.
Currently, with all that has been going on in Congress, there has been what might be seen as a hiatus regarding attacks on the 2A but -- this can only be seen as temporary at best. Read this analysis as it explores the militia aspect -
