Media pours on praise, might pause if they give it more thought
While reporters are extolling a plan to raise money and build a memorial commemorating the day a mass-murdering psychopath went on a Tucson killing spree, at least one civil-rights group is questioning the controversial scheme.
Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, http://www.jpfo.org, challenges the notion that an anti-gun-rights advocate wounded in the attack should be erecting memorials to the event. "Anniversaries of death and tragedy are solemn, private affairs, but this is being turned into an agenda-driven public carnival--a campaign assaulting rights of everyone who didn't do anything," says an official statement from the 29-year-old civil-rights organization.
Gabby Giffords has unfortunately gone from a highly respected member of Congress to a poster child for so-called "gun control," part of a dark-money-funded effort to disarm the public, under a rubric of safety. Severely wounded and only partially recovered, she has the appearance of a puppet manipulated by handlers, which includes Michael Bloomberg, the New York billionaire pouring cash into astroturf anti-rights projects like hers, enabling their activities.
Recognizing a lack of membership support, her group recently changed its name from Americans for Responsible Solutions, which it never really offered, to "Giffords," confusing most observers. "Commemorating scenes where mass murders took place incentivizes copycat killers, a problem police nationwide are battling," notes JPFO. JPFO's "Don't Inspire Evil" campaign, along with the left-leaning "No Notoriety" group, discourages such dangerous, reckless, unethical activity. Spree killers consistently name prior murderers as inspiration for their foul deeds. Honoring such events is a practice that must end, JPFO says.

Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, http://www.jpfo.org is America's most aggressive civil-rights organization, dedicated to destroying the notion of "gun control" as any kind of credible public-policy position. So-called "gun control" does not control guns and doesn't control criminal behavior. What it does do is disarm the innocent, leaving them helpless in the face of criminals, tyrannical governments and genocide. History repeatedly proves this fact. Founded in 1989 by Aaron Zelman as a response to the Holocaust, JPFO speaks with the moral authority and tenacious commitment of survivors of persecution, and knows that surrendering your personal and family safety to government protection courts disaster. "You don't have to be Jewish to fight by our side, you just have to love liberty."
