The right to shoot tyrants, not deer

Share/Bookmark

Another article from Judge Andrew Napolitano -- looking at the true meaning of the Second Amendment and explaining that the right of the people to keep and bear arms is an extension of the natural right to self-defense and a hallmark of personal sovereignty. Each human being is sovereign, as the colonists were after the Revolution.

"The historical reality of the Second Amendment's protection of the right to keep and bear arms is not that it protects the right to shoot deer. It protects the right to shoot tyrants, and it protects the right to shoot at them effectively, with the same instruments they would use upon us." Another of the Judge's pieces well worth sharing, which can be found here.

Refer to the "Sandy Hook Index" for an archive collection of material we have shown since the tragic events at the Newtown Elementary School. Most is directly resulting from the event but also there are items simply clarifying various aspects of the "gun control" issue.
