Owning firearms is a First
Amendment exercise, too!
1). Our main item is by Alan Gottlieb of The Second Amendment Foundation. He notes that "Freedom of association is also protected by the First Amendment." He goes on to point out that "Beneath the surface, many Americans are convinced that we may be approaching a point when the true purpose of the Second Amendment is realized." It is an analysis with a difference that is well worth reading and sharing
2). We have added an article coming from the Department of Justice's research wing, the National Institute of Justice. While some statements made about high capacity magazines show some support there is also realization of the relative futility of that. More importantly, is the statement that "So-called "assault weapons" are not a major contributor to gun crime." Something we all know and which further reinforces the dark nature behind the proposals for gun bans.
♦ As a matter of interest we have included a link to a rather "interesting" open mic 'capture' of Vice President Biden's assertion that the controls will have little effect!
Refer to the "Sandy Hook Index" for an archive collection of material we have shown since the events at the Newtown Elementary School. Much is directly resulting from that but also there are items simply clarifying various aspects of the "gun control" issue which has been such a hot button topic again.
