Purim and the Right to Bear Arms

Share/Bookmark

"The commemoration of the past should instruct toward a better future." Thus begins a writing by Menachem Ben-Mordechai, going on to refer within to some of Rabbi Bendory's words at his New Jersey Statehouse speech on February 8th this year. It looks into some aspects of traditions and history in Judaism, paying particular attention to the celebration of Purim. This article is a look at gun ownership and the right to self defense from another and interesting perspective.

Refer to the "Sandy Hook Index" for an archive collection of material we have shown since the events at the Newtown Elementary School. Much is directly resulting from that but also there are items simply clarifying various aspects of the "gun control" issue which has been such a hot button topic again.
